You'll also want to keep an eye out for a pool of bubbles in the water. Try to have a long cast distance as possible, because the length of your cast does have a slight influence over the fish you cast and it's quality. Wait for the bar to be green before you cast. You'll know when a cast is 'Max,' because the word will appear on the screen. ![]() This will give you a longer casting distance, with the possibility of achieving a 'Max' cast. ![]() Ideally you want to cast when the bar is as green as possible. Within this bar you'll find a line moving back and forth, from red to green. The length of your cast is determined by the small bar that appears above your hand when you initiate this action. Fishing itself comes in the form of a mini-game that is divided into two parts - casting and catching.Ĭasting begins the moment you decide to use your fishing rod and decides how far you throw your fishing line out across the water. It might just be me and my laziness, but I do think it would be awesome to add a warp totem for Cindersap Forest, as well as an obelisk (plus, there's something about something like "Forest Obelisk" that sounds really nice to me).Fishing is both a key skill and money maker in Stardew Valley. As a result, I basically just sort of ignore everything there. In comparison, it's really sort of tedious, especially if you want to go there in the morning. You can enter through your farm - meaning you have to walk the entire way from your house to the south end of your farm - or you can enter from the town, either by Jodi's house or through the sewer to get to the south of the Cindersap Forest map. If you want to get to Cindersap Forest, currently, it's sort of annoying in comparison to get there. Using warp totems or the new obelisks, you can get to the beach and the mountains (basically the mines again.). The minecarts take you to the town, the mines, the bus stop (so basically your farm) and the quarry (which don't really need their own warp point, imho). Something that really bugs me about the game is how tedious it can be to get to Cindersap Forest, since it's the only area you can't reach by warping in some way. ![]()
